Position Summary:
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Information and Library Science (SILS) holds the contract to provide library services for the US Environmental Protection Agency in Research Triangle Park. The Electronic Resources/Reference Librarian is responsible for the receipt, processing and management activities for serials in all formats; training and supervision of student serials intern; coordinating and managing electronic journals access and licensing issues; compiling and delivering appropriate departmental statistics; and provision of scheduled reference desk services. The Electronic Resources/Reference Librarian reports to the EPA Library Director.

Education Requirements:
The successful candidate will have an ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library Science, at least one year of professional level experience working with serials.

Qualifications and Experience:
The candidate will demonstrate the ability to organize and analyze, an aptitude for detailed work, and familiarity with spreadsheets. The candidate will have a working knowledge of serials technology, scientific resources and must be flexible and willing to work in a changing environment. The candidate will have excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
